Match Report Press Report

Lee-on-Solent 4 Lost to Southampton University 2 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 17 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Keith BARRON winning through.

It was the number 5 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 128 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Keith BARRON.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Nathan Cummings, who over-turned a 952 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
